Racking Maintenance Training
A one day course with classroom theory and practical application that will give the site the ability to carry out the most common racking maintenance activities for wide aisle racking up to 15 metres high.
Scope of Training
The course will extend to:
An overview of the relevant Health and Safety legislation that applies to the warehouse
Essential PPE for racking maintenance
Assessing and maintaining the necessary Work Exclusion Zones
The pallet offloads required to safely carry out the maintenance activity
Standard Operating Procedures for typical activities complete with method statements and risk assessments
Specific maintenance activities, complete with method statements and risk assessments
Method Statements and Risk Assessments
This course provides the essential techniques, method statements and risk assessments for pallet racking maintenance in accordance with the SEMA Codes of Practice.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Delegates will need to have some knowledge and experience of racking and should have a practical engineering or maintenance background. In addition, delegates should be qualified in Working at Height and Use of MEWPs. Certificates are issued after the completion of the course examination.
